

Francis E. “Frank” “Bud” Bolton, age 83, of Zephyrhills, FL, born in Mckeesport, PA on February 2, 1933 died on August 14, 2016. Mr. Bolton was an educator, serving as classroom teacher, administrator, and also coach of several sports for 32 years in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. He was a participant in football, basketball, and baseball at the high school level, and a football and baseball participant at the collegiate level. Mr. Bolton also pitched men’s elite fast pitch softball at the national and international levels, and he presided as founder over the Starmaker Softball Schools of New Jersey for 23 years. Recently, Mr. Bolton was nominated for the New Jersey Softball Hall of Fame.
Mr. Bolton is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Dolores Sallinger Bolton, and their three children, Mary Dolores Klinck, John Francis Bolton (Lisa), Kathleen Margaret Lujan (Jim); four grandchildren, Angela and Lindsey Klinck, Jamie Bolton, Maya Lujan; and sister, Dr. Margaret Petersen. He was preceded in death by his sister, Eileen Wiltuck, and granddaughter, Quinn Bolton.
Mr. Bolton was also a US Army veteran and served during the Korean War. He will be laid to rest at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL with military honors on Friday, September 2, 2016, 11am. Any gifts of remembrance should be sent to Gulf Side Hospice.
Mr. Bolton requested that his obituary include a “Bye for Now” and “Thank You” to all of his friends, relatives, students, colleagues, and acquaintances accumulated during a life worth living.
