

Marie was born on March 14, 1936 in Peebles, Ohio. She moved to California as a young girl and lived there throughout her high school years. She met her future husband, James Moore, while he was serving in the Navy, stationed in San Diego. They were united in holy matrimony on October 13, 1956 and lived in the Tampa Bay and Ft. Lauderdale area until settling in Plant City, Florida.
Marie was an active member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Plant City where she found much strength, spiritual knowledge, and love.
Marie was preceded in death by her parents, John and Sally Popp and Woodrow “Woody” Wilkins, brothers, Gary and Cliff Wilkins, and her “beloved one and only” husband of 32 years, James “Jim” Moore.
Her beautiful life will be forever cherished in the lives of her family!
She is survived by her brother and sister in law, Brad and Jan Wilkins, from Holland, MI, and her children, Geneva Moore Howard of Plant City, FL, Polly Moore Simpson and husband, Marty of Plant City, FL, John Moore and wife, Judy of Dover, FL, Richard Moore and wife, Kim of Plant City, FL and Darlene Moore of Riverview, FL.
She is also survived by her grandchildren: Rusty and Erin Howard of Plant City, Rob and Jill Howard of Lakeland, Leeann and Daniel Marchena of Mulberry, Kira and Will Dowling of Plant City, Leo Kahelin, Alicia and Cameron Conklin of Lakeland, Amanda Moore and Andrew Long of Pennsylvania, Ashley and Jaren Patamasank of Lakeland, Tyler Moore of Plant City, and Wes and Jennifer Simpson of Morganton, Georgia.
She is also survived by her great grandchildren; Abigail Howard, Alysa and Carter Howard, Micah and Levi Marchena, Rhys Meeks, Jordan Conklin, Connor and Austin Patamasank and Kimberly, Mckynlee, and Tanner Simpson.
Marie was also survived by many close friends and family from far away and we thank each and every one of you for your companionship to her throughout the years.
As a result of Marie’s generosity and kindness, she was loved by many. Our hearts have been made to rejoice during the passing of our mom by the many acts of kindness extended to our family. All your prayers and expressions of love and sympathy are greatly appreciated.
We love you Mom, and will miss you always!
