Jessie “Lois” Bennett, 93 of Cork, Plant City Florida, born December 2, 1925 in Miami FL., entered into eternal rest at her home with family on April 5, 2019. She was a retired cashier from Browning Brothers grocery in Cork. She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church. She enjoyed traveling, going to the Gator games and loving all her grandchildren. She never met a stranger. She would give you the last morsel on her table. Never a day went by that she wasn’t studying the Bible. She was the matriarch of our family for the precious 93 years she gave us. Thank you “Nanny”!
She was preceded in death by her husbands Wayne Williams and Benny Bennett.
She is survived by her two daughters, Sandra Brunty (Rusty), and Debra Suarez (Ray); grandchildren, Stephanie Fincher (Rocky), Shawn Layton (Jimmy), Shellee Pollin, Shane Layton (Tanna) and Amber Biard (Jon). She also leaves 10 great grandchildren, 3 great- great grandchildren; sibling, Ann Cox; and many loving family and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Friday April 12 at 11:30am at Wells Memorial & Event Center, 1903 W Reynolds St., Plant City where family will receive friends beginning at 10:30 am. Interment will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery in Plant City.
