Katherine Park Park Hicks

Kathrine Park Hicks, age 88, of Plant City, FL went home to be with her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ on July 31, 2011. Mrs. Hicks was born Aug. 9th 1922 in Chattanooga TN. She was preceded in death by her husband Dr. Wilbur Hicks, daughter Angela Hicks, stepson Wilbur Hicks Jr., and her brother Richard Park. Survivors include her sister Connie Dooley of Tampa, FL, daughter Karen Schatt Donahue of Tampa, FL, sons Richard Hicks (Marilyn) of Plant City, FL, David Hicks of Atlanta GA, stepson Stuart Hicks (Kathy) of Plant City, FL, stepdaughters Virginia Zinner of Plant City, FL , Betty Philpot of Orlando FL, and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. A Celebration of Life will take place at Wells Memorial Funeral Home, 1903 W. Reynolds St. Plant City, FL at 11 am, Wednesday August 3, 2011 with visitation one hour prior to service with Rev. Gary Brady officiating. Interment will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lakeland, FL. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to LifePath Hospice of Hillsborough County or a charity of your choice. A special thanks to the hospice caregivers and the loving care that was extended by the staff of Country Manor Assisted Living of Plant City.
