KING Jr., Lawrence "Preston", age 66, of Plant City, FL went to be with our Lord on September 26, 2017. Preston was born and raised in Plant City and was a US Army veteran. He was a well known barber in Plant City for many years. He enjoyed watching reality television, watching old movies and listening to 50's and 60's music. He was a kind man who always wanted to do right by everyone.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence Preston King Sr. and Edna Mae (Rogers) King.
He is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 45 years, Nhanh King; sisters, Marie King, Mary Schumacher and husband, Darryl, and Susan Ryan and husband Mark. Also surviving are nieces and nephews, Chris, Cory, Melissa and Jessica; and great nieces and great nephews, Cheyenne, Ramell, Zachary, Raven and Haley.
A funeral service will be held at Wells Memorial in Plant City on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at 11am. A visitation will take place from 10am - 11am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Mt. Enon Cemetery in Plant City, FL where he will receive military honors.
