BOOTHE, Leon R., age 89, of Lake Wales, FL passed away on November 10, 2017. Leon was born in Elba, AL and retired from Chevron Oil Company. He was a kind hearted, soft spoken, southern gentleman. He loved to garden, tinker with anything he could get his hands on, had a great sense of humor and was an epic storyteller.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Edna Mae Boothe and his sister, Foye Wilson. Loving family who survive are his son, Mark Boothe; and his two daughters, Judy Jones (Mark) and Edwina Meyer (Dave); six grandchildren, Crystal, Erica, Amber LaDonna, Cassie, Cara; and seven great grandchildren, Angel, Chase, Angelo Jayden, Kailynn, Arihanna, and Jayden.
A memorial service will take place at Wells Memorial Funeral Home in Plant City on November 26, 2017 at 4pm. The family will receive friends beginning at 3pm. Condolences may be made online at www.wellsmemorial.com.
