Patricia W. Granger, 88, of Plant City, FL entered into rest on May 15, 2020. She was born on March 16, 1932 in South Bend, Indiana to Hugh Wimsatt of Kentucky and Lillian Dietz of Indiana.
She attended Shiloh Baptist Church for many years. Patricia, better known as Pat, loved teaching children about Jesus, helping with vacation bible schools and plays throughout the years. She was an accomplished seamstress and loved making dresses for her granddaughters during Easter and special events. She also taught ballet lessons when her children were young.
Pat was a beautiful lady full of life and a great sense of adventure. She was awesome at planning trips, traveling all over the U.S., visiting family, and taking her husband to attend the Prisoner of War reunions honoring POW’s of the Korean War. She was continually giving of her time to encourage others, visiting nursing homes taking the grandkids along to bring joy. For her, sewing or baking for others was not a chore but a delight.
She was proceeded in death by her parents and her husband John Samuel Granger. Patricia is survived by her daughter Patti Bucknell (Larry), her son Kevin Granger (Cindy), her daughter Lori Granger Jeffcoat (Harry), her son Johnny Granger (Claudia), 15 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren.
A Funeral Service will take place on Friday, May 22, 2020 at Wells Memorial Funeral Home, 1903 W. Reynolds Street, Plant City at 11:00 a.m. and family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 a.m. An interment will follow at Mt. Enon Cemetery, Plant City, FL.
