Willard J Thomas

Willard James Thomas Sr., 86, of Largo, Florida passed on Friday, August 11th, 2023. Willard was born September 14th, 1936 in Jonesboro, Arkansas to Lyman Thomas and Vernia (Daniel) Thomas. He was one of six children. He was married to Nancy (Lintner) Thomas on June 6th,1964.

Willard served in the Air Force for 20 1/2 years. He traveled the world and would joke that it would be easier to list the countries he hadn't been to than to list the ones he had. After retirement, he continued to work with a wide variety of electronics including television repair, oil field x-ray machine repair, packaging equipment repair, and warehouse maintenance.

He is survived by his children, Willard Thomas Jr., and Vicki Thomas, and grandchildren, Trevor Thomas, and Andrea Thomas.

Preceding him in death are his parents, Lyman Thomas, and Vernia (Daniel) Thomas, Siblings, Kenny Thomas, Jerry Thomas, Orville Thomas, Louise (Thomas) Melton, Virginia (Thomas) Kinne, wife, Nancy (Lintner) Thomas, children, Ronnie Thomas, and Barry Thomas.

He loved fishing, gardening, camping, anything outdoors, and painting.

A visitation for Willard will be held Monday, August 21, 2023, from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place immediately following funeral service at Memorial Park Cemetery, Plant City, Florida.
