Passed away on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at the age of 87 at the Lakeshore General Hospital. Widow of Chester Rabey. Survived by her children Stephen (Claudette), Keith (Peggy), Neil (Velma), Ruth (Reg), predeceased by her son Dan (Brenda). She leaves behind her beloved grandchildren Chantal (Peter), Shawn, Collin, Tyler, Melanie, Sarah and Christine; and her great- grandchildren Audrey, Evelyn and Noah. She is survived by her brother Lester (Velma), predeceased by siblings Mervyn (Sandra), Ivan (Eileen) and Kathleen (Raymond). Born and raised in Gaspe, Quebec, she loved and continued to visit this homeland throughout her life introducing the area to generation after generation. She will be missed by many friends and relatives. The visitation will be Friday, March 4 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Greenfield Park United Church, 335 Springfield Avenue, Greenfield Park. Directly following will be a service to celebrate the life of Evelyn. Interment will follow at the Field of Honour Cemetery, Pointe-Claire. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society of Canada would be appreciated.
