Mr. Francis Kenneth McConomy, aged 97, passed away Saturday, November 8th, 2025, at the Lakeshore General Hospital. He was born January 17th, 1928, in Quebec City, son of the late John Joseph Kenneth McConomy, and Dorothy Marian Coughlin.
Francis was pre-deceased by his wife, Yvette Trudel, his sisters Shirley, Brenda and brother Douglas. He is survived by his partner Huguette D’Amour, his brother Terry, and his three sons, Gary (Nicole), Bruce (Diane) and Brent (Jonique); Six grandchildren, Craig (Sara), Kristin (Chris), Tara, Dave, Lori (Matt), and Melissa (William); and Great-Grandchildren Adeline, Emma (Aidan), Kenneth, Cassie, Ava, Jack and James.
“Bud”, as he was known to many, would often be seen, walking his dogs (Chelsey and Amber) near the Wilder Penfield school in Dollard es Ormeaux.
He leaves a legacy of love and kindness, not to mention his sense of humour. Later his passion led him to oil painting (self taught), and creating over 100 works of art.
He also leaves many other family and friends who will sadly miss him.
A small visitation will take place on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at St-Joachim Parish, 2 Av. Sainte-Anne, Pointe-Claire, from 1pm followed by a Funeral Service at 2pm.
A private burial will follow at a later date at Notre Dame Des Neiges Cemetery, Montreal.
