

Born April 14, 1948, Gerry was an incredible person whose kindness, warmth, generosity, and willingness to help others touched everyone fortunate enough to know him. He was the kind of person who would always jump in to help anyone who needed it. He had a tremendous love for animals and treated everyone he met with genuine kindness.
Gerry was a true expert in the electric motor field, dedicating more than 40 years to his profession. His extensive knowledge, experience, and passion for his work earned him the respect and trust of countless people throughout the industry. People continued to reach out to Gerry for his expertise and advice — a testament to the incredible knowledge he had and the reputation he built throughout his career.
Gerry was the beloved husband of Effie, his wife of 55 years. Together, they shared a lifetime of love, family, memories, and experiences.
He was a devoted father to Brandi and Robin, father-in-law to Mark and Dwight, and a tremendously proud grandfather to Jaymie and Matt. He will also be deeply missed by his sister Linda, nephew Mitch (Marie-Eve), his beloved fur baby Rosevelt, and his sister in-laws, Gloria(John), Sheila(Duncan), Fay(Tony) and his brother in law Roland(Shaunna), many nieces, nephews, friends, and the many people whose lives he touched throughout his life.
Gerry leaves behind a legacy of kindness, compassion, knowledge, generosity, and love. His sudden passing leaves an immeasurable hole in the lives of those who loved him.
He will be remembered not only for his dedication to his family and his lifelong expertise, but for the way he treated everyone with kindness, always willing to lend a hand, share his knowledge, or simply be there when someone needed him.
As per Gerry’s wishes, no funeral will be held. A celebration of his life with family and close friends will be held at a later date.
Gerry was truly one of a kind. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him. ❤️
