her son Hans (Debbie) and daughters Elena, Jenny (Brent), and Sabine (Ashok) and by her grandchildren Erika, Marina (Olivier), Nick, Stephanie and Tristan. Born in Hamburg, Germany Helga survived the horrors of the Second World War. Following the war she met Costica Radu, a handsome Romanian refugee and merchant sailor whom she married and with whom she and their three children, emigrated to Canada in 1959 . The young family settled in Montreal and a fourth child, was born shortly thereafter. Helga loved her children and grandchildren dearly and it may be said they are her proudest gift to the world.
