Son of Joan White and Ralph Tisdall Sr., and brother to Ralph and Doug Tisdall, Jim was born and raised in Dorval, Quebec, where he attended Dorval High. He would go on to build a life rooted in loyalty, humor, and a deep appreciation for the things that made life worth living; family, music, laughter, and a deep appreciation for the people and moments that mattered most.
Jim spent over 30 years working as a crew scheduler in the airline industry, a role that perfectly suited his organized nature and lifelong passion for travel. His journeys took him far and wide, collecting experiences, friendships, and playlists along the way. Music was a constant companion throughout his life; from rock to jazz, Motown to blues. He was known for always having the perfect song for any occasion.
A passionate sportsman, Jim was an avid curler and golfer, often combining his love of both with his love of people. Always quick with a sarcastic comment, a clever joke, or a warm smile that made those around him feel at ease. He was outgoing, witty, and effortlessly charming, and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Jim now joins his late parents, Joan and Ralph Sr., and leaves behind a legacy of joy, humor, and kindness that lives on through all the people who had the joy of knowing him.
A celebration of life will be held on July 19, 2025 between 13h-16h, at the following location: Royal Canadian Legion - Hudson # 115 / Rue Beach, Hudson, QC J0P 1H0
In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family will be collecting donations in Jim’s honour to make a collective contribution to the Teresa Dellar Palliative Care Centre, where he spent his final days with comfort and dignity. More details will be shared online at a later date or at the event.
