Passed away on November 24, 2008 at the age of seventy-one.
Beloved husband of Nora Baxter, father of Mark (Christine), Lawrence (Sandra), Gerry (Darlene) and David. Also survived by his seven grandchildren: Julie, Russell, Colin, Natalie, Andrew, Jane and Michael. Marty was a graduate of Princeton University (1958) and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (1964). He was a long time-professor of Chemical Engineering at McGill University and after retirement he was recognized as Professor Emeritus. He will be fondly remembered by his many students, colleagues and friends for his love of teaching, sense of humor and passion for skiing.
