MaureenTeresa (O'Brien) Russell Murphy

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother on October 11, 2018. Peacefully, in her 88th year, the Sacred Heart of Jesus called her home. Wife of the late Robert (Red) Russell and the late Brawley Murphy. Left to mourn are her children, Sandra (Jim Romanuk), Maureen (Tim Hewlings), Barbara (Joe O'Reilly), Donnie (Diane Grenier), Catherine (Frank McKee) and Danny. Grandmother to James, Ryan, Justin, Timothy and Rob. Great-grandmother to Carter and Ashtyn. We grieve for our mother who singlehandedly brought up her six children instilling kindness, tolerance, a good work ethic and the importance of family. Actively involved in the Pointe Claire Legion, she generously gave her time to the Poppy Campaign and many other charitable endeavors. She has left a hole in our hearts that can never be filled. We wish to thank the kind and so attentive staff of St. Andrew's Home; we are forever in your debt. Special thanks to Father McCrory of St. Gabriel's Parish who saw that she left this life in the glorious Christian way that she so treasured. At her request, no public service will be held. Our family will gather for a private celebration of a life well lived. We love you Mom and our hearts are forever broken.
