I am writing to express my deepest sympathies to you, and your family about the death of your husband, Max Reimbold.

While words do not provide adequate consolation for the loss of a loved one, please know that my colleagues and I at the Faculty are with you in our thoughts.

Growing up across the street from Max,  a couple of things come to mind.  He never seemed to sit still.  His days started early and ended late.  He always had something to do, or a place to be. While he was a serious business owner,  he was at the core, a kid at heart.  I was fortunate enough to go sailing with him.  He loved being on his boat and was a natural at sailing.  Trips to the harbor included stopping to walk railroad tracks.  Mr Reimbold made sure to include all around him. Backyard parties found him popping Champagne corks,  and hordes of kids trying to retrieve them. He had a older Mercedes that he convinced us was Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.  We would have to sing as we drove through the neighborhood.  He thought nothing about hanging lights on Christmas eve, on a snow covered roof.  I remember him riding his bike built for 2, then making sure anyone who wanted to could get a spin.  He had a seemingly never ending fleet of white pickup trucks.  We used to sit in the back,  driving all over.  Trips to watch Fireworks, disposing of leaves,  Flyers Stanley cup celebration,  CCD pickups, the list could be endless.  He was generous with his time.  When the church was doing a 24/7 adoration of the Blessed Mother,  he made sure he was there.  He thought nothing of setting up,  and tearing down for the church carnival and Christmas decorations.  I remember holding the ladder for him as he climbed to dizzying heights, placing the wreaths high on the brick walls.  I guess being raised in Canada made him tougher than most.  He was usually swimming earlier in the spring, and later in the fall than I  ever could.  When most people were wearing winter clothes,  he took delight in washing their car in shorts.  A unique person who I will always remember.

Max was my closest friend at Loyola and McGill as a classmate and team player.

Max was a thoroughly good and decent man with a million dollar smile.
Hope you found yet another place  to share  your , smile, good nature charm,  and wit.
If you don't go to heaven, we will meet again.

Sweet Max,
You were the best father-in-law a girl could have hoped for. You welcomed me as one of your own, and loved me unconditionally. It was an honor and a privilege to be part of your family.

Thank you for your love, generosity, and kindness. You will always be in my heart.

To our family and friends, this is a huge loss of the man we all loved. My heart is with you.

Enjoying a walk in the village with a stop at Duke and Devine’s -August 2022😍

What a treat it was to get invited down to NJ and up to St Sauveur to stay with Max and Maren (and Jay too, I suppose..ha!). I have fond, fun memories of those days, of Max and Maren’s generosity and of amazing potato pancakes being made on a day where it really was way too hot for frying that much in such a small kitchen, haha!

Max seemed to celebrate all the joys of life and seemed eager to share them widely. Condolences, thoughts and love  to Jason, John and Michy, and of course the rest of the family that will surely miss, but also surely carry wonderful memories of this wonderful man!
