Our sincere condolences to Celine and family.

I've known Paul, well, most of my life. I'd say mid 1970s, I met him when he was an accountant at Gillette. That is a long time ago.
We interacted more when he took over the Safety Committee. That brought credibility to the committee and the important work they needed to do to keep the factory safe. 
I have to think he loved the whole safety thing and especially firefighting and training a lot more than bean counting. I remember he participated in training in the "North Country" (Vermont?) where they actually set a large propane tank on fire by opening the valve and lighting it. They then approached the raging inferno under the protection of water sprays... Yeah sure. Not for me but Paul loved it. He couldn't get enough of it.
I once asked Paul what I should do if there was a fire in my high rise condo. He said "Move" and then told me about the time he went down a 30 m ladder. Never, ever again. Too scary.  We lived on the 19th floor. It was probably 60 m down to the ground. 

Paul, I miss you. You were always so free with your laughter, loud deep laughter. 
We worked hard. We had fun. You helped keep us out of trouble.

I was deeply saddened to hear of Paul's passing. My heartfelt condolences to Céline and his family. No doubt he will be missed, but never forgotten. Paul was such a loyal and dedicated Gillette employee and I will always be thankful for how good he was to me. Rest in peace, Paul.

Paul, you were not only a great co-worker, you were a good man with a warm heart.  Wherever you may be....know that you will be truly missed & we will always cherish the memories of the reunion lunches & dinners with you.
