Pauline passed away peacefully in the company of family members on May 6, 2020 (four days short of her 96th birthday). She was pre-deceased by her beloved husband Emmett Ryan McEniry (February 21, 1921 – March 20, 1977) and will be greatly missed by her four children: daughter Colleen (McEniry) Towsley and three sons Shane, Colin , Gerald (Josée Martineau); seven grand children: Dawn (Simon Melanson), Brendon, Erin (Emmet Collins), Patrick, Jérôme, Luka, Adrien and five great grand children: Olivia & Gracie Melanson, Abigail & Samantha McEniry, Evelyn Collins. Sadly her passing was accelerated by the dreaded Covid virus.
Pauline was a long time resident of Beaurepaire from the time of a youngster in the N.S. Walsh family on Lakeview avenue and then raising her own family on Woodland avenue until the late 70’s. Afterwards she resided in Beaconsfield, Pincourt and Pointe Claire (Wellesly and Vivalis residences).
She was also a longtime employee of Eaton’s working first at its downtown location and then many years at Fairview. She worked hard, helped others, made great bread and fruitcakes, and was appreciated by all especially her loving family. She was an ardent churchgoer (St. Edmunds in Beaconsfield) as well as other parishes in Pincourt and in Duhamel near the family summer cottage.
As a consequence of the government imposed restrictions, there can be no funeral or church service. Burial will take place in the intimacy of the immediate family at the Ste-Anne de Bellevue parish cemetery where Ryan has lain since 1977, together with the ashes of Charles Towsley – husband of Colleen - deceased in February 2016.
Your thoughts and prayers are sincerely appreciated. No flowers or donations are requested.
