Passed away peacefully at Ste. Anne‘s Veteran’s Hospital surrounded by family on May 5, 2022 in his 98th year. Loving husband of Gloria Mary Martin for over 73 years. He will be mourned by his children Stephen (Kim Golding) and Laura (Bryan Wizniak). Beloved grandfather of Jonathan, Sarah and Matthew (Fleig), Katherine and Amanda (Kerr), Shaun, Brandon and Elizabeth (Wizniak). Robert was predeceased by his mother, Ana Proctor, his father Samuel Leslie Kerr, and brother John Kerr (Rhoda Simon). Robert will be fondly remembered by his sister Marilyn Kerr (Paul Chauvette), nephews, nieces and friends. He was a captain of the tank core in WWII, a dispatch rider, and a P.O.W. He owned and operated Mid City Carbon and Ribbon Company, belonged to the M.A.A., was president of the Ribbon and Carbon Association, and Chairman for the Forest and Stream Club. Visitation will take place at Collins Clarke MacGillivray White Funeral Home, 222 Autoroute 20, Pointe Claire on July 3rd, 2022 from 11AM, followed by a chapel service at 1PM. The internment will take place in the Martin plot in Notre Dame Des Neiges Cemetery on July 4th at 10:30 a.m.
