William James Langill

LANGILL, William James 1926 - 2014Dr. Jim. passed away peacefully in his 88th year on May 5, 2014. Predeceased by his wife Muriel (Goetz) of 54 years (2003). Eldest child of the late Sydney James and Helen (Neale) Langill. Jim will be sadly missed by his partner Lynne; his sons Bill (Bev), Bob (Wendy); daughters Donna (Rick) Gaboury, Deb (Hugh) Strudwick; siblings Barbara (Paul) Levasseur, Shirley (late Bernie) Mitchell, Larry (Betty), Irving (Mary Jane), Joe (Jean); sisters-in-law Dolores and Leona; 11 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren and family and friends. He will be joining his son Tom (2001), brothers Don (2004), Neale (2008) and loved ones gone before. Jim had a wonderful life as an athlete growing up in NDG, in the Navy and at University. Attending Veterinary School in Guelph, Ontario, Jim met and married Muriel and brought her back to Montreal where they opened the very successful Liesse Animal Clinic in Dorval. Always with a joke and good cigar, he raised a wonderful family and gained many friends through work and sports. Horse racing remained his passion all of his life.
