

Born on July 31, 1930, in Richford VT to the late Maurice and Lydia Benson, Bea attended Saint Patrick School and graduated in 1948 from Portsmouth High School in Portsmouth, NH. Bea spent many years living in Newmarket, NH before moving to Florida in 1990.
She was a loyal Red Sox fan and an avid Life Master bridge player, having played in bridge tournaments throughout the country. Well into her late eighties, she enjoyed golfing, musical theater, cruising the world, and ballroom dancing. Bea began her working career at the University of New Hampshire and later spent several years in the insurance industry. She was a twenty-year volunteer at Holy Cross Hospital in Ft. Lauderdale, FL.
She is survived by her son, Thomas Haley and his wife Joyce of Tiverton, RI; daughter, Denise Haley and her partner Fernando Godinho of Pompano Beach, FL, a granddaughter, Laura Haley of Long Island City, NY, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Henry B. Haley, and sisters, Lucille Dockham and Laurette Massaro.
The family would like to gratefully acknowledge the loving care team of Trustbridge Hospice, especially Kathy, who provided special care for our mother during her final journey. We would also like to acknowledge the wonderful care and support from the rehab and extended care staff at John Knox Woodlands. Private arrangements for a Mass of Christian burial are being made by Kraeer Funeral Home, Pompano Beach, FL with burial by Kent and Pelczar Funeral Home, Newmarket, NH.
