Egenberger, Bernardine Thais, 84, of Deerfield Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully at her home on October 24, 2012. She was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. She found the love of her life while working at the Jung Hotel. She was married for 50 years at the time her true love pasted away. She raised her five children in Collingswood, New Jersey. She was known by everyone especially the children as Mrs. “E”; you could never do wrong in Mrs. “E”’s eyes! She loved all the children. Her life was her family; she would spread her wings so no one would be able to harm them. She lived for her children. During a period of time she was a Cub Scout Leader for the love of her boys. She moved to Deerfield Beach Florida in 1976 and after years of being a housewife she decided to go to work. She obtained a job at the new K-Mart in Deerfield Beach Florida. She worked at K-Mart over ten years then finally retired. Her past time was listening to music, dancing, cooking, decorating, crocheting and always enjoyed the holidays with her family. She always made sure there was enough food for unexpected guest, and always had her arms open for everyone. In her last years she enjoyed just being at home with her surviving children Bertha Sullivan, Catherine Blonder and Cornelius Egenberger, wife Cheryl Egenberger, her grandchildren Rebecca Ortiz, husband Carlos Ortiz, Catherine Sullivan, and Christina Blonder, and her amazing great- grandchildren Alexa Ortiz, Donovan Ortiz, Gian Ortiz, Derek Krueger and her Little Austin Krueger. These children brought her so much joy and love. We are all so thankful that she was able to enjoy her family. She will be remembered for her love, guidance and strength; and will forever be missed and loved by the ones that knew and loved her.
