Doris Jane Cope

DORIS OUSLEY COPE POMPANO BEACH, FL – Doris Ousley Cope, age 96 went to be with her Lord and her loved ones on Monday, June 20, 2016 after some time of declining health. Mrs. Cope was a Broward County Pioneer, and was an accomplished landscape artist of scenes in Florida, the Carolinas and of the Rocky Mountains. She was a daughter of the late John and Mae Ousley. Also preceding her in death were husband, Orrin Cope; daughter, Dorinda Jane; grandson, Cameron; and great-granddaughter Kate. Surviving are her daughters, Lurly Cope Brittain and her husband Bob, Chris Muckridge and her husband Terry; son, Orrin Henry Cope and his wife Diane; Dorinda’s daughter, Shawn; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. A Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 25, 2016, in the chapel of Pompano Beach Christ Church, 210 NE 3rd St., Pompano Beach, FL.
