Edna was born on July 15, 1917 in Lititz, St. Elizabeth, Jamaica, West Indies. She received her elementary education in Jamaica and High School Education and College education in New York.
Edna a fiercely independent and very proud woman evolved from her humble beginnings, working as a seamstress in Mandeville, then as a clerk at Hanna’s in Kingston, Jamaica. She later migrated to the USA, where she became an EKG Technician. She last worked at the Daughters of Jacob Nursing Home in the Bronx, New York, until her retirement.
She is survived by two children, George and Heather, five grandchildren, seven great grand children, one great-great grandson, daughter-in-law, son-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of dear friends.
