Evelyn E. Pomper

Evelyn Elizabeth Pomper, of Pompano Beach, FL passed away peacefully on February 10, 2015 at the age of 90. Evelyn was born February 26, 1924 in Alliance, OH, and moved to Florida with her family in 1957. Devoted wife of the late, Paul W. Pomper, Jr., beloved mother of her sons Keith (Kathy) and Ken (Maureen). Adored grandmother of Heather (Mike) Brinkworth, Brian Pomper, Susan (Jay) Mull, Michael (Patty) Pomper, Richard (Chrissy) Pomper, David (Kristy) Pomper, Erin (Randy) Loar and great grandmother to Jayson, Grace, Lexi, Hillery, Michael, Gavin, Haley, Griffin, and Daniel. Evelyn enjoyed working with her sons and grandchildren at Pomper Sheet Metal, loved spending time with her family, socializing with friends, and was a devoted sister of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. Her kind heart and gentle spirit will be remembered by all who knew her.

A memorial service will be held at Forest Lawn Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 200 West Copans Road, Pompano Beach, FL on Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at 2 pm. Officiating the service will be David Haun, Interim Chaplain of John Knox Village. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made in Mrs. Pomper's name to St Laurence Day Shelter at www.StLaurenceChapel.org. Family and friends are invited to join the family immediately following the memorial service to celebrate Evelyn’s life at Galuppi’s restaurant at the Pompano Beach Municipal Golf Course, 1103 N. Federal Highway, Pompano Beach, FL.
