Francis L. Zernhelt of Lauderdale by the Sea, 78 years old, passed away peacefully March 29th, 2016. Beloved husband of Betty Ann McDonald, and the late Catherine (King) Zernhelt; wonderful father of Alicia Bogue, Jennifer (Mike) Korsak, Frank (Jane) Zernhelt, cherished grandfather ‘Papa’ to Jake, Tess, Sam, Anne, Christopher, and Grace; brother of Rose Marie Brizek, and the late Theodore, Donald, and Mary Ann Zernhelt; loving uncle to all his nieces and nephews. Memorial services on April 1, 2016 from 4-7pm at Kraeer Funeral Home, 200 North Federal Highway, Pompano Beach, FL 33062. Funeral Service will be held on April 2, 2016 at St Gabriel Catholic Church of Pompano Beach at noon. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions donations be made to the American Heart Association.
