Fritznel Gelin was born in L’Esther, Haiti to Dieufils Gelin and Augustine Ferana Noel on November 8, 1954. He spent many of his formative years and went to school in Gonaives, Haiti. He immigrated to the United States where he later met and married Magalie Vernet on August 23, 1980 in East Orange, New Jersey.
In January 1983, a tragic car accident left Fritznel permanently paralyzed. Even this major life obstacle did not stop him from overcoming and accomplishing many life goals; the most important of which is (together with his wife) raising three daughters.
He graduated from Revelation Message Bible College. He was ordained on October 2, 1994 into the ministry of the Gospel of Jesus Christ by First Christian Church in Pompano Beach. He founded and pastored Sanctified Church of God (North Lauderdale) for over 20 years. In 2005, he became a member of the International Union of Pastors and Volunteer Chaplains. Due to the many years of ministry and service to the community, countless lives have been touched by Fritznel Gelin.
Fritznel is preceded in death by his mother, Augustine Ferana Noel; Father, Dieufils Gelin; and brother, Eric Gelin.
Fritznel is survived by his devoted wife of over 40 years, Magalie Gelin, Daughters, Nahomie Exume and family; Veronica Cyrus and family; Brigitte Sylvestre and family.
