Helen was born on April 10th, 1931, in New York, NY. She raised her family on Long Island before moving to Pompano Beach, Florida, then Charlotte, North Carolina in her final years.
Helen loved being a wife, mother and socializing with friends, neighbors and extended family. She was smart, outgoing, easy to get along with, and you would be hard-pressed to find anyone who did not like her. She was open-minded, accepting of others and willing to help those who needed her. She loved new adventures, the ocean and cruising. She often said some of the best times of her life were when her first husband, Frank, and she would boat across the Great South Bay of Long Island, dock at Fire Island and spend time with their boating friends.
Helen was preceded in death by her first husband Frank LoGalbo, her son Joseph, and second husband, Nick Montana.
Helen leaves behind two of her children, Barbara Clark and Frank LoGalbo. She also leaves behind six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Although she is no longer with us, her influence will be felt for years to come.
Helen will be returned to Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens North, Pompano Beach, Florida to be buried and a celebration of her life held on March 30th, 2026. Arrangements are entrusted to Kraeer Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Helen’s name, to Via Health Partners (PO Box 470408, Charlotte, NC 28247) for the excellent hospice care provided by Rachel and Katie.
And the family also thanks the staff of Legacy Heights Senior Living Community of Charlotte, NC.
