Helen is survived by her three sons: John, Michael, and Kenneth and her three daughters: Denise, Donna, and Kelly. She is also survived by eight grandsons and one granddaughter.
Helen Taylor is survived by her sister Charlotte Teel, of Cinnaminson, N.J.; her brother Tom Cooney, of Brookville IN; and her sister, Kathy Cooney, of Elkins Park, PA. She is preceded in death by her sister, Ann Mc Garrigle, of Media, PA; her brother, Charles Cooney of, Clairmont, CA; and her brother, Daniel Cooney, of Philadelphia, PA.
Helen was born on July, 22, 1935 in Philadelphia, PA, to parents Charles Cooney and Helen Cooney. She graduated from Little Flower High School (Philadelphia, PA) in 1953. In 1970, she moved to North Wildwood, NJ and accepted a position as a waitress at various restaurants, where she worked for more than 45 years.
Helen Taylor was a great family woman and a loving mother. She married John (Jack) Taylor in 1957 and the couple had six children together.
Helen was a social, active woman who was deeply involved in PTA, Society of St. Vincent de Paul, and the Imperial Point Colonnade’s condo board for the majority of her life. She enjoyed travelling, spending time with her family, and volunteering at condo and non-profit organizations. Her family and friends will always remember her as a loving, caring, and socially active person.
A funeral is scheduled for Helen Taylor on October 8th, 2022 1:30 PM at Saint Coleman Catholic Church, 1200 S. Federal Highway, Pompano Beach, Fl. with a reception to follow at Holy Family Center (adjacent to church).. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Helen Taylor’s life.
