Peterson, June B., a resident of John Knox Village, Pompano Beach, passed away on February 19, 2017 at the age of 93. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Jennie Carlson and her husband, Robert Peterson. She was born in Watertown, Massachusetts on July 9, 1923 and was a resident of Waltham, Massachusetts for nearly 50 years before she moved to Sunrise, Florida in 1977. She is survived by her stepdaughter, Barbara Griffith, of Hollywood, Florida, many step grandchildren and many great-grandchildren, and by many cousins in Sweden. She was a member of the Vasa Order of America since 1941, and active in Mt. Vernon Lodge #485 of Boston from 1942 to 1991 when she transferred to Lauderdale Lodge #635 of Fort Lauderdale. She was also a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. There will be a Memorial Service at John Knox Village Auditorium on April 12, 2017 at 3:00 pm.
