Kevin had a joy and energy for life rarely seen. His devotion to Danny and Jill and caring for all the young people he coached for many years will never be forgotten. A special man has gone to a special place and no doubt he is still smiling. Joe, Aina, Erik, & Ian Jenkins

A good friend, a good person, a great human being.  Never a harsh word, always that glowing smile and sparkling eyes.  Cherished memories sustain us all with his passing.  Me deepest condolences to family and friends.

I was so sorry to hear of Kevin's passing. Kevin was a great Lt. and great friend to me while I was at LHP FD. He will be missed by all. My prayers go to Danny,Jill and the rest of the family. Rest in peace my friend.

I worked with Kevin 35 years. His professionalism as a firefighter was to be admired. But, the compassion he showed people and that huge smile, was beyond the call of duty. God gave us this very spcial person in Kevin. I mourn your family's loss. Kevin and you have been in my prayers. May God bless your family.

Unfortunately, I only got to know Mr. Kevin Horkheimer and his wonderful family (JILL & DANNY and the gang) since July when he became a patient on my floor  for his first visit at BRRH.
He came back a few months later and again it was a privilege to have him om my nursing unit.
The smile on his face  (always)each time and the love in his room was magical!So many visitors and such an amazing man!
I saw how loved he was and I will miss him too!:-(

The world is a sadder place without Kevin's smile and great sense of humor.  I was lucky enough to know Kevin and his family all my life.  He will never be forgotten.
