Linda Marie Sousa Sawicki, age 72, of Deerfield Beach, Florida, passed away, due to an illness, on Tuesday, September 20, 2022. Linda was born on November 1, 1949 in Boston Massachusetts. She was the daughter of Robert J. Sousa and Effie Trindall. Linda grew up in Cambridge, Mass. where she met her husband of 19 years. They moved to Bradenton, FL in 1980. She cared for him at their home until he passed away in 1994. She then moved to Pompano Beach, Florida to be closer to her family. Linda worked as a Nanny, caring for children, for a few years and then as a Secretary at various pet boarding facilities. Her most recent occupation was a Secretary at The Dog House and Crystal Lake Animal Hospital in Pompano Beach, FL which she made so many dear friends while she was there. Linda was a caring, loving, supportive, encouraging person with a great sense of humor. You could talk to her for hours about everything and nothing at all. She was so witty and organized and she loved her two cats, Bonnie and Clyde. She was a caregiver to so many cats and dogs that needed a good home. Linda survived by her niece, Tonya Storer, her grand niece and nephews, Grace Jones, Ty Storer and Tucker Storer. Also by her dear friend Deborah Anderson who drove miles to give her “at home” care two days a week which Linda cherished so much. She also had two very close dear friends, Adriana Freitas and Lena M. Lucente’, who were always there for her. She also made some very dear friends at her senior living facility as well. Linda was loved by so many people and will be so greatly missed by each and every one of them. Linda is preceded in death by her parents and her sister and brother Deborah and Robert Fournier. The only thing that quiets our sadness is that she is now at peace with the people she missed and loved so much.
