born on March 6th of 1931 in Belmonte Calabro, Italy to Guiseppe and Anna Bruno. From Italy, he moved on to and worked as a tailor in both
South and North America before returning to his home town to find and marry his wife, Rita (Suriano) Bruno. Together, they moved to New Jersey in
1968 where they had two beautiful daughters, Marisa Hopkins and Sandra DeMattia. As a family, they continued on to Margate, FL in 1973 and in
1986 had a son, Bonaventura (Roberto) Bruno. Luigi moved to West Palm Beach, FL in 2002 where he continued to enjoy life with friends and family. Through his
experiences, he was able to impart invaluable knowledge onto everyone in his life, including his 5 grandchildren. Although the
last 2 years of his life were marred by illness, Luigi was more exemplified as a compassionate husband, caring father and grandfather, and loving sibling.
Luigi is survived by his wife of 44 years, Rita Bruno; two daughters and their spouses, Marisa and Don Hopkins, Sandra and Sam DeMattia; son, Bonaventura (Roberto) Bruno;
5 grandchildren; Jessica, Nicole, Donnie, Katelyn and Michelle, 3 sisters; Rita Brusco, Rosina Osso, and Nicolina Provenzano and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his brother, Bonaventura Bruno.
