We are deeply saddened to hear of Mary's passing.  We will miss our happy, fun days with her in Pompano.   Oh, the memories we share will never go away. Mrs. Knowlton was a wonderful fixture during my childhood, as well as all of the Knowlton's- especially my giggling sidekick, Nancy. Mrs. Knowlton never seemed to get rattled.  I admire that quality and don't understand it all! Her grace and composure must have been granted to her from sweet Gramma Alice.
Mary patiently addressed conflicts between Laurie, Nancy, and I on a regular basis. I have wonderful memories of family and friends on Rolling Meadow and send heartfelt hugs to all of the Knowlton's.

Winters in pompano beach florida will never be the same without Mary.  For 20 glorious, fun filled years we enjoyed playing golf, dining,Gulf Stream park, and trips to the casino. What a grand time!  Mary had a zest for life and lived it to the fullest. We will miss her.

To all of the Knowlton Family - I am so sorry to learn of your mom's passing - the Rolling Meadow gang is shrinking again.  Growing up, Mrs. Knowlton as I knew her back when, was a good, and tolerant, friend and neighbor of my in-laws.  The kids were in and out of each others houses like an extended family, and I had the fun of growing up knowing young Gerry, who is also greatly missed.  The fact that Mary rolled with the many, many adventures of her family and kept her sanity and laughter is still amazing but shows the essence of what a wonderful person she was; I will miss her smile, her MA accent, and her honesty.  Mary - say hi to Grandma Alice, the Gerrys, and keep an eye on the rest that are still here... :)

   I think I was around Kindergarten age when my parents told me that my Uncle Jerry had a girlfriend who's name was "Jinx", and that she was a teacher. Mary WAS a teacher!. She taught me how to do a 'cart wheel', and also being a 'Girl', taught me how to 'Lead with my Left' when boxing. She WAS quite a girl, a girl, who as a woman, let my uncle Jerry think he was the boss in that sly way of hers! She will be greatly missed by all her friends, both old and new, and family with the consolation the she is finally together with uncle Jerry, and still rooting for the 'Red Sox'!...God bless you Mary, Patti and I will miss you.

I shed a tear and cracked a smile when I heard of "Jinx's" passing. She was one of my favorite neighbor's and family friend growing up in Madison, CT. Always honest with her feelings,I will remember her smile and the twinkle in her eye.

Mary Knowlton came into our lives & filled a big void left after my own mom's passing. She was an honest gracious lady who always had a kind word and a twinkle in her eye. I am forever grateful that she came into my dad's life and made him whole again. Rest well dear Mary.

Dear Peter and Family,

I am sorry to hear of your Mom's passing.  As a young girl playing with you on Dinwoodie Drive I thought it  really unique that your Mom's nickname was "Jinx".  When we also moved to the Rolling Meadows  Neighborhood my Mom tried to start calling her Mary.  When I rebounded 20 years ago to Madison I would run into her downtown and chat.  She will always be "Jinx".  So sorry.

So sorry to hear the news of "Jinx"'s passing. She was always so supportive and kind to me. Everytime I would see her she had a positive comment for me. She was so proud of her family and always had great stories. My sincerest sympathies to all her family and friends.

Mary was a beautiful lady, loved by many.  She will be missed.

Memories of Mary "Jinx" are many; most of all her smile, her friendship; and the way she organized things! The Golf Bags was and still is a group she organized.  A true friend.  She will be greatly missed by many many friends and family.  
She was a wonderful person

Mary was such a sweetheart. I truly enjoyed seeing her occasionally in town and hearing all about the wonderful family she was so proud of. May you share the years of wonderful memories with each other when you are together.

I don't know where to begin. I am so blessed to have had Mary in my life. She was a kind, loving person who came into my dads life for a reason. We got along so well, she reminded me of me. Don't hold anything back, always spoke our minds. She was a beautiful person. I will always hold her dear in my heart. Rest well my friend, I love you so much. You will be deeply missed.
