On Friday, February 25th, 2022, Mary Jean McCoy, loving wife, loving mother, loving grandmother and loving mother-in-law passed away at the age of 94. Mary Jean was born on April 4th, 1927 in Indianapolis, Indiana and moved to Pompano Beach, Florida with her husband and two daughters in 1959. After moving to Florida, Mary Jean worked as a secretary for a financial firm. In later years Mary Jean received her Medical Transcription Certificate and retired from the Broward Hospital District in 1998.
Mary Jean enjoyed life with her family and many friends, bringing joy to every event with her bright smile, her quick wit, and most of all her loving spirit.
Mary Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Joe McCoy, her mother, Margaret Secrist, her brother, Ross Secrist, her sister, Dorothy Olmsted, and her son-in-law Jack Peterson. Mary Jean is survived by her daughters Deborah Louise McCoy and Sharon Walker, her son-in-law, Clarence Kenneth Walker, her granddaughter Brittini Rae Peterson Biolatto and her grandson in-law, Joseph Biolatto.
