

Owen Michael Doyle passed away on January 24, 2018 at the age of 80 in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida where he and his wife of 58 years, Sandra Hall, have resided since 1984. Owen was born in Buffalo, New York in July of 1937. He was the son of George Patrick and Virginia Webb Doyle.
Owen served in the United States Coast Guard Reserve beginning in 1954 until 1956, and he then joined the United States Navy until 1959. While on active duty he was assigned to Special Service and played on the All Navy Basketball Team, and received an honorable discharge in 1962.
Owen was an Insurance Executive for 25 years in Buffalo following his service. In 1979, he merged his insurance business with a large Southern Ontario agency that coordinated Canadian business in both countries. Owen was licensed in both New York State and the Province of Ontario as an insurance broker.
He was the President of Mount St. Joseph’s Parents Association; he served as Chair of Golf Tournaments at Cherry Hill Country Club; and he was also a member of The Saturn Club, Elks, the Eastport Yacht Club, as well as Cherry Hill Country Club.
Owen relocated to Florida in 1984 as Corporate Risk Manager for King Motor Corporation. He later managed a newly acquired facility for a large fuel company for ten years as their top manager in the national system.
He served on the Board of Directors for Palm Aire Association for 12 years and was President of his condominium for 9 years.
He was the father of three children, Cheryl Lewallen of Birmingham, Alabama, Kellie Ladd of Annapolis, Maryland, and Owen Doyle Jr. of Delray Beach, Florida. He was blessed with 5 wonderful grandchildren, Davis Lewallen, Ciara Doyle, Quinn Doyle, Jackson Doyle, and Chloe Doyle. He is survived by his wife, Sandra, and his remaining siblings Francis and Patrick Doyle.
