Theresa Ann Jarrett

Theresa was born in Mount Holly, NJ to Kathleen Bortner (née Wilkins) and Donald Danser on October 6, 1969. Her nickname “Tacy” was in honor of her great-grandmother, Tacy Williams (née Budden). She married the love of her life, Robert Jarrett, on December 31, 2012 in Deerfield Beach. She was employed with M&S Air Conditioning.

Telling the story of Theresa’s life must begin with how fiercely she loved her family and friends. She cared deeply and always put others’ needs before herself. No story of Theresa would be complete without mentioning her deep love of the iconic rock band, Bon Jovi. She became a fan nearly 40 years ago and knew every song, every lyric, every detail, and would see them in concert every day if it had been feasible to do so. She also loved to cook and bake and enjoyed trying new recipes. She was known for her chili, which had become a staple at holiday gatherings. Theresa was a talented crafter and the family is grateful that her legacy will live on through her creations that she gifted throughout the years. Finally, Theresa was a fan of the Florida Panthers and was so grateful to have lived long enough to see them win the Stanley Cup!

Theresa is preceded in death by her fathers, Jerry Bortner and Donald Danser.

Theresa is survived by her husband of 11 years, Robert M. Jarrett, her children, Alex Danser and Brandy (Ian) Provost-Heron, her grandson Elias, her mother Kathleen Bortner, her sisters Donna (Tom) Freebourn, Cathy Cochefski, Trish Bortner, Tracy (Mike) Puckett, and Amanda (Jimmy) Fields, her brothers Kevin Bortner, Gerald Bortner, and Michael (Amber) Bortner, her mother and father in-law Robert and Diana Jarrett, her aunt Wendy Tucker, her uncles Gordon Wilkins, Sr. and Martin Wilkins, several cousins, nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her lifelong best friend and “sister from another mister,” Samantha Heidt and her fur babies, Casey and Frankie.

In lieu of flowers, friends and family can make donations to the ASPCA.

A celebration of life for Theresa will be held Sunday, August 4, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Kraeer Funeral Home @ Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 200 West Copans Road, Pompano Beach, FL 33064.
