Words cannot describe how thankful I am to have been blessed to have you as my Mother for 54 years. I find comfort in knowing that you are now at peace and an Angel in Heaven happy and with Nonna and Dad. Because of you I am the Mother I am today and a Nonni as well and can only hope that I can leave such beautiful memories that you have left for your girls and your grandchildren. I will always cherish the wonderful memories I have with you. I will share with Amiyah all those great memories of what a wonderful Mom and Nonni you were. I will see you again and after I enter the gates of Heaven and you are there waiting for me I will be doing that crazy dance that used to make you laugh so hard. Love you Mom so much and thank you for being you. Your daughter, Joanne

Dear Mom,
So many wonderful memories fill my heart and head. You taught me so much…to put others first. To be content with what I have, because there are two things money can’t buy…health and happiness! That being beautiful on the inside is more important than being beautiful on the outside. That patience is a virtue…and you wore it so well. To always think before I speak, because words are more wounding than fists. That life is a gift from God, and you need to make each day count, and be the best person that you can be…because we’re not guaranteed tomorrow.
It took me too long to realize that the happiest place for both of us was in your world. I thank God for opening my eyes so I was able to enjoy our time together as long as I did. You laugh was infectious and always made my heart happy. Your unending kisses and hugs were so special it made my heart sing. Through our time together I learned that the bond between two people is with the heart, not the mind, and I thank you for showing me that. Even when your memory faded, your heart still connected with mine, unconditionally with love. You are an amazing mother, grandmother, daughter, wife, friend, and person. You were loved and adored by all you met and brightened a room with your presence.
Thank you for a lifetime of loving, learning, laughing and beautiful memories. You have made your most important alter call, and I know He was waiting with open arms for you…His faithful servant. One day I will join you in Heaven, and we can laugh together as if we never stopped!
Love from your daughter, Lysa

Dearest Mom,
It is so difficult to try and put in writing a lifetime of love and memories. You were such a wonderful and sensitive women. I cannot remember one day throughout my years that you were not at home waiting for us to get there. I will never forget all the wonderful things you made for me. The baby bassinet (one of my favorite X-mas presents), the halloween costumes, prom dresses, bridesmaid dresses, should I even go on? You were an amazing cook, baker, artist, Mother, Wife and Grandmother. I believe I took after you in a lot of ways, especially when it comes to my love for animals. I recently started photography, I really wish I could have shared some of my photos with you; I think you would have loved them. I cannot draw or paint like you, but I can take a beautiful photo and I have you to thank for that. I am going to miss you more than you will ever know! Knowing you are free and now at peace makes it tolerable, but the selfish part of me didn't want to let you go. Thank you for being such an amazing Mother and putting up with me throughout the years. I pray I am loved as deeply and am cherished by my children as much as you are by me. Rest in Peace, give Nonna & Dad hugs and kisses and always remember you will forever be in my heart. See you on the other side.
Thinking of you always, loving you forever, Rita

To my biggest fan! You were always on my side no matter what. My biggest cheerleader, encourager, praises, and supporter! Your love and pride for me never went unnoticed. Your hugs and kisses were infectious and your devotion to your daughters is what made me who I am! Not only were you a loving and caring mother, but you gave wise and sincere advice that I actually did listen to even if I didn't always follow it. Your words and little sayings have always stuck with me and I use them regularly! My favorite was always...."the bigger they are the harder they fall".... which was my favorite because you were so tiny but oh so mighty! I got my strong will from dad, but I got my loving and nurturing heart from you which I will be eternally grateful for, so thank you! I hope you dance your ass off in heaven and sing and laugh so loud that all your daughters, grand kids, and great granddaughter can hear you. We WILL be listening! Your legacy of greatness will live on with all of us and I promise to keep it well above the surface of our lives. I love you higher than the sky and deeper than ocean...... I love you with all my heart, Your daughter Laura

Dear Nonni,
Where do I find the words,
To say just how I feel,
When your absence hasn't sunk in yet,
When none of this even seems real?
What I can do is reach deep within me,
And pull out all of the parts,
That hold a special memory of you,
That are tucked inside my heart.
Your paintings, your hugs, your kisses,
Will forever in my mind stand out,
The tap dance lessons in your kitchen,
And all of the things you taught me about.
Your love for watching ice skating,
And those sappy romance books,
Oh how you loved that Fabio,
With his "ravishing good looks!"
I'll always remember your cooking,
No one else could ever compare,
And I cannot leave out your sewing abilities,
True talent like yours is rare.
From wedding dresses and bridesmaid gowns,
The most beautiful you've ever seen,
To everyday clothes and dance recital dresses,
And costumes for Halloween.
Your skills and love for baking,
You could dance as well as sing,
You really were amazing Nonni,
You could do ANYTHING!
But its time now for you to rest sweet Nonni,
Heaven has called your name,
And so begins OUR newfound journey,
Things surely won't be the same.
There's comfort in me knowing though,
That you are with your Mom,
I know how you have missed her,
I know it's been so long.
So go now and be with the Angels Nonni,
Forever now you are free,
Like the stars or the moon or a heart touching song,
In beauty, you will ALWAYS be.
RIP Nonni.
I love you always,
Your Jenny
P.S. A bushel and a peck...

Nonni,
There are not enough words to explain how much I will miss you. You were always thinking about other people and taking care of them. That was the biggest lesson you taught me—nothing was more important than taking care of the people you loved. Someday I will see your smiling face again, and I will feel your million kisses. Until then, I will talk to you and seek your guidance when I need it, and look for you in nature when I miss you terribly. I will keep your memory alive and never, ever, forget you. I will always tell Amiyah how amazing her great grandmother was and all the things you taught me. You were such an amazing person and I’m very lucky to have had a grandmother like you. You will always be in my heart and mind. So Nonni, I must go, but I’ll never forget you’re one of a kind. Until we meet again, in my heart you’ll always be. For always you will remain, my sweetest memory.
I love you. R.I.P. Nonni. Love, Heather

RIP Nonni. I moved away from you so young that unfortunately you weren’t a huge part of my life, but I still have fond memories of your seemingly infinite love. You’d shower me with hundreds of kisses every time I saw you and tell me how handsome I was getting. This was sure to put a smile on my face no matter what my mood. I’d like to think your love for the arts and all that you showed me about painting set the course for me to become a lover of art myself. I’ll be sure to write a song for you.
Love, Devin

Dear Nonni, it’s amazing how fast a life can go by without realizing it. It feels like yesterday that I was young and in your house watching TV or having you show me different paintings that you had done. You have always been so loving, even when you didn’t know who we were. I remember when I brought my best friend Johnny to Homewood and you thought he was your long lost grandchild; treating him like one of us cause you wanted to show him that love. You will be forever loved and missed and I know you are happy up there with Papa and everyone else. Paint me a picture of heaven please, and when I get there I can keep that in my house, as I have the one you painted before, with me now. Love, Brandon

Dear Nonni, Unfortunately I wasn’t given the opportunity to spend as much time with you as I had hoped. Doing the classical cheesy things grandkids and grandmas do like making cookies, or sneaking me a 20 here and there. Due to your Alzheimer's you weren't able to remember me up to a certain point. But I will always remember you. It gives me a heavy heart knowing you wont be here physically to watch me grow up, and become what I hope to be a successful doctor one day. But I know you will be here spiritually. At least you are finally reunited with Papa and friends while in Heaven. I know you are looking over not just me, but the entire family, as an angel. I will miss you so much, but you will forever be in my heart. I love you Nonni, Nicole.

As a child many of my memories with Nonni are lost, as they are for her too. Even as those memories faded, she still managed to show much love and support. I know she didn’t really know who we were the last time I saw her, but the love was still there…Along with the kisses and hugs that showered down on me every time I saw her. Even though I didn’t get to spend much time with my grandma, deep down I still love her and always will! RIP Nonni. Love. Trevor

Goodbye is something many people would say for a time like this, but it’s a different case for me. I can talk about how much I regret not seeing you more, but I never will. Whenever I hear “Nonni”, I will think about the great times we had and not even a sliver of sadness will come to mind; only good things, from meeting your friends 1000 times each, to dinner at your house. No matter what happened, you were always happy, never mad, or sad. In all my memories, all you had was a smile and as you aged that smile only got brighter. So instead of saying goodbye, I’m going to say, “I’ll miss you”, because everyday I know your in my heart, mind, and in every thought. And eventually I will see you again. Love you Nonni, Cameron

Dear Nonni,
I do not have many memories to fall back on and I didn't get a chance to spend much time with you, but the short amount of time I was privileged to spend with you was amazing. Your hugs and kisses always made me smile and I loved every one of them, especially when you would pinch my
cheeks. Even though you couldn't tell me that you loved me, you didn't have to, I already knew. Mommy said she will make sure to tell me all the wonderful things about you and share stories too. I was so happy that day at the hospital when you wouldn't wake up to anyone, but the
moment you heard me say "Nonni wake up" you opened your eyes, I told Mommy that night how happy that made me feel. I love you Nonni and am going to miss you. Your youngest little man, RyRy
