Kathryn Ann "Kay" Gilbert Pruett

Kathryn Ann “Kay” Pruett, age 70, died Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at NMMC in Tupelo. She was born to William E. Gilbert and Marion Grace Moore, graduated from Greenwood High School and attended Memphis State University. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Pontotoc, a Christian, homemaker, Mother and Friend to many.

Services will be at 11 AM Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at First Baptist Church in Pontotoc with Dr. Ken Hester officiating; burial will follow in the Pontotoc City Cemetery. Browning Funeral Home in Pontotoc is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include her husband: Ken Pruett of Pontotoc, MS; two daughters: Debbi Lum and husband Mike of Columbus, MS and Ginger Douell and husband Jerry of Clinton, MS; six grandchildren: Ben Pierce and wife Lindsey, Brantley Pierce, Lexi Lum, Addy Douell, Taner Douell and Olivia Douell; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her son: Kenny Pruett and a grandson: Ryder Douell.

Pallbearers will be: Mike Lum, Jerry Douell, Ben Pierce, Brantley Pierce, Taner Douell and Lance Reeder.

Visitation will be from 9:30 AM to 11 AM Wednesday at First Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be sent to the Pontotoc Cemetery Association, P.O. Box 581, Pontotoc, MS 38863.
