Maxine Hodge

Maxine Hodge, 77, of thaxton, Mississippi, was born on August 18, 1948, and passed away on May 18, 2026. Her gentle spirit was often reflected in music; she loved to sing and previously sang with the Harmony Masters group, sharing her voice in a way that brought comfort and connection to those around her. Above all, she cherished the time spent with her family.

Maxine is survived by her sons, Jeff Bailey (Pam) and Michael Bailey (Amanda); step-sons, Alan Hodge (Denise), Rodney Hodge, and Tommy Hodge (Kathy); and step-daughter, Donna Hodge. She is also survived by her sister, Janie Long; grandchildren, Erin Bailey, Brandon Bailey (Sydnie), Payton McGlynn (Keegan), Matt Hodge, Alex Carry (Tanner), Ethan Hodge (Ariana), Everett Hodge, and Cody Hodge; and great-grandchildren, Kendrick, Erikah, Jaxon, Maddie, and Julian Hodge.

Maxine was preceded in death by her husband, Julian Hodge; her father, Louis Harris; her mother, Loudale Morris Harris; her sister, Wilma Lee Stepp; and her brother, Robert Harris.

Visitation will be held at Discovery Church, 4241 MS-336, Pontotoc, MS 38863, on May 19, 2026, from 5:00 am to 7:00 am, and again from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm.

Funeral services will be held at Discovery Church, on May 20, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
