
Leeta “Pauline” Welch, age 95, died Thursday, February 17, 2010 at NMMC in Tupelo. She was a member of the Oak Hill Baptist Church and retired from Joyner Fields in Sherman. Pauline enjoyed spending time with her family, caring for her grandaughter and working with her flowers.
Services will be at 11:00 AM Saturday, February 20, 2010 at Browning Funeral Home Chapel in Pontotoc with Rev. Rick Parks officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery. Browning Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include her daughter: Christy Chapman (Andy) of Endville, MS; a sister: Audrey Reeder (Noel) of Pontotoc, MS; 1 Granddaughter: Nicole Landrum; a Great Granddaughter: Kendall Landrum of Endville, MS; 2 Step Grandchildren: Kaye Stults (Kevin) of FL and Kim Harbor of Palmetto, MS; 4 Step Great Grandchildren, 2 Step Great Great Grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by parents: F.E. Pitts, Sr. and Fannie McCord Pitts, her husband James Clyde Welch, a sister: Lola Wages and 2 Brothers: F.E. Pitts, JR. and Grover Hugh Pitts.
Pallbearers will be: Ronnie Pitts, Earnest Wilder, Jerry Austin, Martin Ball, Mickey Baker and Michael Harkness.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 AM Saturday at the funeral home.
