

died Friday, March 28, 2014 at Sanctuary Hospice
House in Tupelo. He was a member of St. Christopher’s
Catholic Church in Pontotoc and a retired supervisor from
Day-Brite Lighting Co. and Keystone. He was an Army
veteran of the Korean War. He was a “jack of all trades”,
watching television, cooking, gardening and he was
a locksmith. He enjoyed baking birthday cakes for his
grandchildren.
Survivors include his son: David Delikta of Trenton, MI;
a daughter: Elaine O’Bannon (Tony) of Douglasville, GA;
a daughter-in-law: Melinda Patterson Nowicki of Pontotoc, MS;
three sisters: Pat Smith ((Walter) of Warren, MI, Antonette
Nowicki of Warren, MI and Phyllis Rouhib of Roseville, MI;
eight grandchildren: Dana Jones, Anthony O’Bannon (Rachel),
Tabitha O’Bannon, Matthew O’Bannon (Courtney) ,
Shauna O’Bannon, Krystin Nowicki, Kayla Nowicki
and Kensley Nowicki and eight great-grandchildren:
Hunter O’Bannon, Tristan O’Bannon, Callie O’Bannon,
Tyler O’Bannon, Devin Williams, Dustin Williams, Draysin
Jones and Ollieanna O’ Bannon.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Anthony Joseph
Nowicki and Evelyn Delikta Nowicki, his wife: Rita Sulky Nowicki
and a son: Kenneth Nowicki.
