Robert Wilder

Robert Earl Wilder, age 70, died Saturday, May 17, 2014 at University Medical Center in Jackson, MS. He was born July 30, 1943 in Lafayette County, MS to Earl Henry Wilder and Agnes Lee Russell Wilder. He was a graduate of University High School in Oxford. He was a retired Staff Sgt. with the MS National Guard and a Trooper with the MS Highway Patrol where he retired as Sgt. with the “E” Troop. He enjoyed drinking coffee with his friends.

A memorial service will be at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, May 23, 2014 at Browning Funeral Home Chapel in Pontotoc with Rev. David Ard officiating.

Survivors include his son: Brett A. Wilder and wife Suzette of Pelahatchie, MS; a daughter: Elizabeth Wilder Davis of Carthage, MS; four grandchildren: Bryson Wilder of Carthage, MS, Benjamin "Ben" K. Wilder of Morton, MS, Blaine A. Wilder of Carthage, MS and Rebecca S. Davis of Carthage, MS; two great-grandchildren: Alyssa and Zane Wilder of Morton, MS.

The MHP Honor Guard will be present at the memorial service.

Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. till service time on Friday at the funeral home.
