Stella Madeline Thomason

Stella Boyd Thomason, age 91, died Saturday, August 27, 2011 at NMMC in Tupelo. She was a member of Center Hill Baptist Church and retired from Joyner Fields.

Services will be at 11 AM Monday, August 29, 2011 at Browning Funeral Home Chapel in Pontotoc with Rev. J.W. Owen officiating; burial will follow in the Bethel Cemetery. Browning Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include her son, Charles Thomason, of Center Hill; a sister: Faye McPeake of Pearl, MS; five grandchildren: Shelia Mattox (Norman), Symanthia Guthrie (Allen), Melissa Thomason, Angela Hancock (Shane) and Shawn Thomason, and five great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Lacy Boyd and Minnie Mae Thomason Boyd; her husband: J.W. Thomason, daughter: Elizabeth Ann Thomason, three sons: Donald Thomason, Danny Lee Thomason and Troy Lamar Thomason; a sister: Daisy Lee Felks, and three brothers: Shorty Boyd, Ed Boyd and Henry Boyd.

Pallbearers will be: Shawn Thomason, Jim Boyd, Evan Boyd, Keith Herring, Scott Anderson and Ricky Reeder.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 PM Sunday and from 9 to 11 AM Monday at the funeral home.
