Alice Faye was born in Pearl River County, Mississippi to Buford Ard and Penny Rawls Ard on July 18, 1946.
Alice Faye was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Ottis Amacker, her parents and two sisters, Julie Ard and Donna Ard Newcomb.
Alice Faye is survived by her daughter, Tammy Pearl Amacker (Junior Paige), her two sons, Randy Amacker, and Cody Amacker (Jamie), all of Poplarville, MS, brothers, Eddie Ard (Glenda), Roy Ard (Kay), of Pearl River County, MS, and Doug Ard (Rita) of Cleveland, TN, her grandchildren, Cassidy Paige, Kaitlynn Schonewitz, Lane Amacker, and Cole Amacker, and one great-grandson, Remington Necaise, all of Poplarville, MS., and a host of nieces and nephews.
Alice loved her Lord God, and her savior, Jesus Christ and was raised in the Murray Hill Church of God near Ford’s Creek, and as an adult attended The Barn Church in Poplarville, Mississippi.
Alice Faye loved her family most of all and loved helping others in any way she could. She was the driving force behind The Barn Church food bank in Poplarville, MS. And she will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
Alice was the perpetual mother who cherished all babies and little children. She was happiest when she was holding and rocking a baby, any baby. She also loved to travel and was ready to hit the road at the drop of a hat. Her most recent road trip was in November of this year with her niece to Williamstown, KY to visit The Ark and The Creation Museum, Cincinnati, OH, and to Marion, KY to visit the Amish community, and finally to Cleveland, TN to visit her brother Doug and his wife Rita.
Alice Faye worked at several jobs in her life; the one she most enjoyed was the years she spent with the Census Bureau, traveling around South Mississippi.
Funeral services for Alice Faye will be held on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, beginning at 12:00pm. Friends are invited to join the family for visitation from 10:am until the service begins.
Interment will follow at Juniper Grove Baptist Church cemetery. Extended family and friends are invited to join the Amacker family for a time of fellowship at The Barn Church in Poplarville following the committal service.
