B.L. Johnson

Mr. Johnson was born August 17, 1958 in Hattiesburg. He retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad and was a devoted member of Corinth Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Albert Vollie Johnson and Marie Breazeale Johnson.

Family members include his wife of 30 years, Melissa Morrow Johnson; five children, Brannon Johnson, Zachary (Lindsey) Desoto, Amber (Anthony) McDaniel, Bryce (Karlee) Johnson, Taylor (Colin Peters) Johnson; two brothers, A.L. (Lecta) Johnson, Bobby (Brenda) Johnson; one sister, Jeannie (Rickey) Hankins; six grandchildren, Maggie McDaniel, Maddox McDaniel, Bryson Johnson, Bentley Johnson, Easton Desoto, and Baylor Desoto.

Funeral services will be held at Corinth Baptist (712 Corinth Road, Purvis, MS, 39475) on Sunday, August 1, 2021 at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends and have visitation after 6:00 pm, Saturday at the church.
