John 9:1-3
As he passed by, he saw a man blind from birth. And his disciples asked him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?” Jesus answered, “it was not that this man sinned, or his parents, but that the works of God might be displayed in him.”
Clint loved a simple but happy life. He was an avid movie collector , he had hundreds of VHS tapes and DVDs. He loved to quote lines from movies, “you’re killing smalls “ and “I’m your huckleberry” we’re just a few. Clint was a collector of baseball caps and had quite the BB gun collection. Not only was Clint a ham in front of the camera, he enjoyed looking at pictures of his family and friends. He never met a stranger and greeted people with a hearty handshake. If you were a loved one, it was with a great big hug. Clint loved any reason to celebrate but his favorites were his birthday, Halloween and Christmas. He celebrated a birthday month and never aged. Every year he turned six. He picked his costume months before Halloween and patiently waited for the annual party. And of course, Clint was always on Santa’s nice list.
When we think of Clint, so many words come to mind. Clint was humble, loving and kind. He was gentle, patient and nurturing. Clint was joyful, jubilant and bright. He was uniquely funny and had an infectious laugh. One word that describes Clint best is special. Special because he was one of a kind . His heart was innocent and pure. He knew nothing of hate or judgement. Clint was special because he was a gift from God. He was what we all strive to be, but fail. Clint showed us what true, unconditional love is . We will be forever grateful for the time we had with him. Although it was short, his memory will last a lifetime .
