Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 21, 2012 at White Funeral Home, Poplarville for Mr. Curtis E. “Pete” Powell, Jr., 88, of Poplarville (Spring Hill Community) who died Monday, June 18, 2012 in the Pearl River County Nursing Home in Poplarville. Brother Joe Beach and Brother A.D. Neiman will officiate at the service. Burial will follow in the Spring Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Powell is preceded in death by his parents, Curtis E. and Katie Scarbourgh Powell, Sr.; his wife, Barbara “Bobbie” Powell.
Survivors include one son, Curtis L. Powell and his wife Faye; one daughter Lynne Johnson and her husband Larry; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at White Funeral Home, 315 Highway 11 South, Poplarville, Mississippi 39470.
