Ethel Theresia Dedeaux

After high school, she spent much of her career working in a garment factory and with the United States Forestry Service. While she took great pride in her work, nothing inspired her more than her children and grandchildren. They were the light of her life, her pride and joy and they always brought a smile to her face. To hear her say "I love you so much, forever and ever" was the most precious thing you could ever imagine and brought much joy to the person hearing it. Ethel was known for being a hard worker, working outside in her yard, loved family game night gathering to play dice and was the biggest supporter at her grandchildrens sporting events. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her husband, J.D. Dedeaux; parents, Joseph Nelian Ladner and Theresia Christine Ladner; two babies; one grandson, Brandon Necaise; one great grandbaby, Baby Peanut Smith; three brothers, Wesley Joseph Ladner (Mary), John Dillard Ladner (Lillie) and Bobby Joseph Ladner and one sister, Bettye Joyce Ladner.

Left to forever cherish her memory are her two daughters, Wanda Necaise and Shannon Smith (Randall); one son, Barney Dedeaux (Judy); one sister Mary Ella Green (Buzzy); nine grandchildren, Crystal Ladner (Jimmy), Bobby Dedeaux, Bradley Dedeaux (Kelli), Steven Dedeaux, Brittany Dedeaux (Russell Ladner), Stephanie Gill (Bryson), Heather Seals (Chance), Hunter Smith (Brittney West) and Heath Smith (Madison); 18 great grandchildren, Julianna Ladner, Cassidy Ladner (Kolby Elliott), Caleb Ladner, Jorja Dedeaux, Addie Dedeaux, Ashlynn Dedeaux, Jayda Dedeaux, Braxton Dedeaux, Jaelynn Hayes, Amara Randall, Keagan Ladner, Emma St. Germain, Laykin St. Germain, Kayden Gill, Sabre Seals, Saylor Seals, Slater Seals and Easton Smith; one great-great grandchild, Blakely Elliott and a host of nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to attend Ethel's visitation on Thursday, June 26, 2025 from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm at White Funeral Home, 315 Hwy 11 South, Poplarville, Mississippi. Ethel's Funeral service will be held on Friday, June 27, 2025 at 10:00 am, at White Funeral Home, 315 Hwy 11 South, Poplarville, Mississippi. Burial will follow at Hester Cemetery, 347 Hester Loop, Perkinston, Mississippi, with Bobby Dedeaux, Bradley Dedeaux, Steven Dedeaux, Hunter Smith, Heath Smith and Caleb Ladner serving as pallbearers.
