Harold Bazor

Seven months after we lost Mama, Daddy was faced with a battle no one ever wants to fight. Pancreatic cancer came into his life uninvited, but if there is one thing everyone knew about daddy, it’s that he never backed down from hard things.

For almost three years, he fought with everything he had, through chemo, radiation, hospital stays, surgeries, and days that would have broken most people.

Through it all, I had the privilege of being right there beside him. I wanted so badly to save him.

I saw the strength that others only heard about. I saw the courage it took to wake up and keep going when his body was tired. I saw the quiet determination in a man who had spent his whole life pushing through for the people he loved.

Daddy was a hard working man in every sense of the word. He didn’t just provide a house, he built a home. With his own two hands, he created a place where all of his kids, grandkids and bonus kids were safe, cared for, and loved. Those same hands worked long days, fixed what was broken, built what was needed, and never hesitated to help someone else along the way.

If you knew him, you knew his heart. He was the kind of man who would stop what he was doing to lend a hand, offer advice, or share a laugh. He never met a stranger.

Some of my favorite memories are simple ones. Daddy sitting on his front porch. That porch was more than wood and nails. It was where stories lived. It was where laughter was loud. It was where friends became family and time seemed to slow down just enough to enjoy the moment.

He loved being outside, working with his hands, staying busy. Fixing something, building something, making something better than he found it, that was who he was. A builder not just of things, but of lives, memories, and love.

In the end, cancer may have taken his body, but it never took his spirit, his strength, or his love for his family and friends.

Before he left, he told me he was ready.

I believe with all my heart that Mama was waiting for him. That somewhere beyond our sight, the two of them are together again, whole, healed, and smiling.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Fred "Junior" Bazor and Pauline Bazor; wife, Tina Bazor and son-in-law, Body McClendon.

Left to forever cherish Harold's memory are his four children, Michael Bazor, JR Bazor (Tori), Christina McClendon Hutchins (Alex) and Neveah "Nay" Taylor; six brothers, Herman Bazor (Melinda), Howard Bazor (Rita), Harlon Bazor, Hershel Bazor, Haskel Bazor and Harvey Bazor (Jolene); one sister, Shirley Allman (Tomie); 10 grandchildren, Julius Cristales, Deven Cristales, Bailey McClendon, Matthew McClendon, Isabella Beesley, Tyler Beesley, Gabriel Light, Bodie Bazor, William Bazor and Aleyah Roberson; a host of nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to attend Harold's funeral service on Friday, March 13, 2026 at 2:00 pm, at White Funeral Home, 315 Hwy 11 South, Poplarville, Mississippi. Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm. Burial to follow at Alexander Cemetery.
